Lead with Intelligence (Emotional Intelligence that is)

Transition Smoothly. Support everyone in adapting to new initiatives with less drama.

Best Audience: New Managers, High-Potential Leaders, and/or Customer Service Representatives

In 1995 a science journalist by the name of Daniel Goleman changed the conversation about what it takes to be a leader in Corporate America with two words: Emotional Intelligence.

What he uncovered was simple. We get hired for our IQ, but we get promoted because of our EQ. The good news is that EQ, or Emotional Intelligence, can be improved once employees are aware of their habits.

The program introduces 4 dimensions of Emotional Intelligence:

  1. Self-Awareness
  2. Self-Regulation
  3. Awareness of Others
  4. Relationship Management

We then take a deep dive into each dimension with thinking exercises, conversation and roleplay practice. Participants are asked to bring a real work situation with them to the program. We use this situation as a use case to practice the skills.

Participants leave with:

  • a deeper understanding of their own emotional landscape
  • the ability to see things from someone else’s perspective
  • language to help them effectively provide feedback and engage in difficult conversations
  • an appreciation for the power of empathy as a relationship building skill

What My Clients Have Said

Carol has been a great partner. Lead with Intelligence is the 3rd program we’ve had her deliver for us. Here’s a small sample of what our participants have said about working with her:

“Love the way she uses her acting skills to create realistic scenarios and examples.”

“Carol Lempert is a wonderful trainer. I initially thought this was just going to be yet another Leadership training course, but it was so much more than that.”

“As always, Carol was amazing!”

The energy and experience Carol brings to her sessions is second to none.
